Dr. Francesco Perdisa
Dr. Perdisa is currently working in the Hip and KneeReplacement Department, at Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli – University of Bologna, Italy.
Since the last years of his medical degree, he has alwaysbeen involved in research activity related to cartilagepathology. His area of research has particularly beenfocused on the development and application of regenerativetechniques for cartilage disease and osteoarthritis, as wellas arthroscopic knee surgery for sports trauma. He is alsointerested in recontructive and replacement procedures forKnee and Hip joints, particularly related with the use of ceramic implants, computer assisted surgery, and new solutions for minimally invasive surgery.
He is member of the leading Orthoapedic societies and published 28 papers indexed on Pubmed, and several otherpapers on National and International Journals, book chapters and abstracts dealing with Research in the field of Orthopaedics. Also, he was speaker at more than 50 International meetings, plus several National Courses focused on Orthopaedics surgery.
In his spare time, he loves travelling and enjoying his Family and Friends. He’s still in touch with his former and currentMentors, always trying to develop virtous relationships and International networks with the aim to improve the level of patient’s care.
