APPLIED ANATOMY LABORATORY – UNIVERSIDAD AUTONOMA DE MADRID
The constant progress of surgical research and biomedical technology requires medical professionals to update their knowledge of Human Anatomy and practice on cadavers, without risk to patients, new methods and instrumentation.
The Autonomous University of Madrid, through the Applied Anatomy Laboratory actively collaborates with hospitals, scientific societies and biomedical companies in the realization of Workshops and Training Days for professionals, of national and international scope, as well as in new research projects diagnostic or therapeutic methods on human cadaver. The bodies used in these activities come from the Body Donation Program for Teaching and Research of the UAM School of Medicine.
The Laboratory has modern dissection facilities, auxiliary surgical material and advanced audiovisual equipment, which can be flexibly configured for the practice of interventional techniques of various surgical or medical-surgical specialties. In addition, for each activity, the organizers can install the specific additional equipment and instruments that are necessary.
